And Agrippa said to Paul, "In a short time would you persuade me to be a Christian?" And Paul said, "Whether short or long, I would to God that not only you but also all who hear me this day might become such as I am—except for these chains." — Acts 26:28-29

Paul is the epitome of a man who will not quit. He perceives every circumstance, even his adversity, as an opportunity for another effort for God.

But this is how we should always view the adversities of this life. We should see them as God-given circumstances. Because when we start seeing them this way, we are more likely to see beyond the adversity to the lesson that God is teaching us. While our enemies want us to be distracted by adversity, God can use even the evil intent of others to accomplish his purposes. And while the Jewish leaders thought they were hindering Paul, these so-called "hindrances" only gave him another platform for sharing his story with some of the most influential leaders in all land. And get this, they even vindicated him.

So today, as you endure your adversity, I want you to look beyond it. Look beyond the adversity and see God's purpose in it. And stand tall as a man of God and proclaim the truth to yourself and others.

ASK THIS: What adversity are you facing right now? (Share it below.)

DO THIS: See God's purpose.

PRAY THIS: God, show me purpose and help me know it and believe it.

PLAY THIS: Don't Give Up by Calling Glory.
