Good day to you. In today's service we will take a look into
1 Kings 17. It's an amazing chapter that features the Prophet Elijah. In the time of Elijah the nation of Israel was far from God- in fact, it was super dangerous to be a follower of God as Ahab and Jezebel were involved in killing off the prophets and enforcing the worship of the false god Baal. And yet, there was Elijah whose name even put a bulls eye on his back. Elijah's name means "My God is YAHWEH". His name was an unwavering declaration of where his loyalties lay. As the followers of Jesus we need to remember that our loyalties are always to Jesus our Saviour. Life wasn't easy for Elijah either- daily he had to trust God to supply his needs. Check out
1 Kings 17 when you get a chance. Have a blessed day.
