Zechariah shouldn’t have to ask, “Really?” Because with God we don’t need to say that. With God we don’t need to say, “God laid it on my heart,” or “I think,” or “I feel.” God lays it out. He gives us a word. What a comfort that should have been for Zechariah. He didn’t have to go tell Elizabeth, “I feel like we’re supposed to keep on trying to have a child.” Or “God laid it on my heart to try to get you pregnant one more time.” He could say, “This is what God has promised us.”
