“With great power comes great responsibility.” This popular saying summarises what Paul teaches in Galatians 5:13–15. The Galatians had been freed from maintaining certain Jewish practices; they were justified by faith apart from works. We learn from this that we are not to use our freedom selfishly, but we are to use our freedom to serve others through love. The only way this is achieved, however, is by walking in step with the Spirit.
