The Church has been timid for too long regarding sharing our faith in Jesus. We’ve been bullied into cowering and hiding in the shadows. We’ve been filled with cowardice. Folks, almost every form of ungodliness, perversion, and wickedness has been endorsed, supported, and promoted in culture and into your home. But if you ask them to stop interjecting the ungodliness toward your home and children, they accuse you of pushing your faith on them. Well, the push isn’t coming from your advocacy for Jesus. But we need to remember that Jesus gave us an assignment. He said to go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature—go into all the world and find anybody who doesn’t know and tell them the Jesus-story. Now, not everybody will accept or embrace it. But we don’t want to apologize for being an advocate for Jesus. You can love them and respect their right to say no, but they need to respect your right to say, “This is important to me.” It has nothing to do with forcing your faith on anyone. This fact needs to grow in your heart.
