In Proverbs 6:6-11, we study the example of the ant to learn how to be a hard worker. Man’s natural tendency is to be lazy and unproductive. We love sleep, make excuses not to work, and are quick to procrastinate. We need to combat those lazy tendencies and rather learn to be disciplined even when our feelings want us not to be. By remembering the benefit of work and experiencing the joy of work we can resolve to be disciplined. May we cultivate a hard-working attitude now that leads to Christ-honoring diligence in our lives.
