Song of Solomon 1:7-13 describes how the soul of a person is drawn in by the calling of the Saviour.
Every man woman and child is called of God to salvation.
The youngest of children have a sense of this calling of God and desire to know Him. It is only after the conditioning and conformity of this world that the innate love for God becomes covered over with the scar of worldly living.
Yet God's call continues and, in some circumstances, breaks through the build up of worldly scarring and, one here and another there, begins to hear the voice of their beloved.
