Hello my WONDERFUL friend! Welcome back to Sonlight Sunday service:)

My friend, today Jesus tells us that we are His SHEEP, and He is our Shepherd! Kind of a funny thing to say, isn't it? What do you think of when you hear the word Shepherd?

Is a shepherd someone who just looks at and counts their sheep? Do you picture someone who has a grass-blade between their teeth, and lazing on the field trying not to fall asleep? (I do!) But the picture Jesus paints about being a Good Shepherd is VERY different!

Jesus saying He's a GOOD Shepherd is someone who protects, guards for, and fights for the sheep he is watching over. Isn't that a relief?? If we are His sheep, and there are wolves about to attack us, isn't it SO good to know that we are protected by a Good Shepherd?

Jesus is not absent, or someone who ignores us. In the good and in the bad, Jesus is always guarding and watching over us, His precious sheep!!

May the love of Christ be over you today as well, my friend (or shall I say, my fellow sheep!)
