“Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never harm me.” Baloney. Don’t believe it for a second. Words are powerful: they can build up, and all too often they can tear down!

In this video, Cy Lynch, pastor of Trinity Baptist Church in Conyers, continues the sermon series on "Wisdom in Turbulent Times." He uses 18.20-Prov.18.21" class="scriptRef">Proverbs 18:20-21; 12:25; 14:25; 15:1,18 and 23 to reflect on how our use of words can hurt or help ourselves, those around us and our relationships.

Words are powerful: God spoke and created everything! We can choose to destroy with speech, or we can choose to speak life through words that are kind, truthful, gentle, calming, apt and timely.
