- We are still in Matthew chapter 10, where Jesus is instructing his newly selected “12 disciples” in the mission for which he is sending them.
- Jesus is sending them to the Jews this time, “the lost sheep of the house of Israel”, to tell them the Good News about Jesus the Messiah, and that the Kingdom of God has come.
- He has made it clear to them that they will not be well received. They should expect to be attacked.
