When trying times begin, worry is imminent. The finite human mind desperately begins grasping for any remedy it can lay hold of, though worrying about our situation often avails nothing. It is exactly such behaviour that the Apostle Paul warns against in his letter to the Philippians.
In a span of two verses Paul is quick to call out and pointedly addresses some of the human mind's most reflexive tendencies during a crisis. He urges us to stop worrying about anything and instead make our petitions known to God. But that's not all. Through this sermon we break down Paul's exhortation part by part and learn that praise and thanksgiving also play a defining role in dissipating our worries. Finally, we see how Daniel and Peter were able to weather the storms in their life by applying these principles & appropriating the peace of God.
