(JOHN CHAPTER 3 – continued)
Verses 22-36…… John the Baptist testifies of Jesus Christ.
 
Verse 22….. Jesus and his disciples came to Judea, and his disciples were there with him and they baptized!
John 4:1-3

Verses 23-24….. John the Baptist also baptized people near Salim.
Note:  According to Biblical geography, Salim is a place in the Jordan valley near Aenon, where John baptized people. It was identified near Samaria where many architectural remains of the Roman period have been discovered. The springs of Wadi Raria located near here lead some to believe that this is the "much water" referred to in John 3:23.
For John was not yet cast into prison.
Matthew 14:3-4… Luke 3:19-20

Verses 25-30…. John the Baptist testifies that Christ must increase.
Isaiah 9:6-7….. Philippians 3:7-9

Verse 31….. John the Baptist testifies that Jesus came from Heaven and He is above ALL.
John 8:23….. Matthew 28:18….. Psalm 62:11….. Romans 13:1-2

Verses 32-35….. John the Baptist reports that Jesus speaks the words of God…….
John 1:1-3….. John 7:14-18

Verse 36…… John shares the blessing of believing in Jesus….and the curse of not believing.
