One of the amazing realities of being a Christian is that we recognize that we are a people who have been brought into the knowledge of the truth. We have been brought into the light. We once lived our lives in the dark. In that condition we had no experiential access to the light of God's truth.

The result of God's amazing grace to us is that we now have access to perfectly reliable information as to what is taking place in the present age. In verse 3 of James Chapter 1, we see the graciousness of our God in that He gives us information that makes the command of verse 2 reasonable.
