Sin & its result, death, entered the world through the disobedience of one man, Adam. All people since then have also sinned and died, except for one Man, a "new Adam," named Jesus. Though Jesus never sinned, nevertheless He died for the sins of all people. Yet He rose again from the dead "so that God's abundant provision of grace...might reign through righteousness to bring eternal life through Jesus Christ" (Rom. 5:17, 21).
