The Greek text proves that Jesus was the beginning (arche) of the creation of God only in God’s foreordained plan before the creation of the world. The scriptures inform us that Jesus existed in the mind and plan of the only true God the Father as “the firstborn of all creation” within God’s Logos as God’s own expressed thought. Jesus could not be God as “the beginning of the creation OF God” and still be God, so we know that there is a distinction between the Son who had a beginning by his begetting as a man and the Father who had no beginning as God. However, the human distinction of the Son’s beginning in no way detracts from the Son’s pre-existence as God before becoming a human son as “the arm of the LORD” revealed.
