Brokenness is a state of being. God meets us wherever we are in lives to mend us and bring us to the end of ourselves into total trust, love, and submission toward him . Being broken is the way to power and revival. In Psalm 34:18, his psalm of God’s forgiveness, David said, “The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
God uses broken things.

* It takes the broken soil that produces a crop
* It is the broken clouds that produce the rain.
* It is the broken grain that produces the bread.
* It is the broken muscle that produces strength
* It is the broken alabaster box that gives forth perfume.
* It is the broken Peter, weeping bitterly, who returns to greater power than ever.

Brokenness
1. Brokenness is the process of surrender or our heart, mind, and body to Christ
2. There are several indicators of a strong, healthy church: wet eyes, bent knees, and broken hearts.
3. Brokenness is a process and maturity that often originates, with simple curiosity.
4. Many have only wished to see or hear a man who speaks much of Jesus, his miracles, and his mercies; and in hearing have felt the powers of the world to come, and have become genuine converts to the truths of the Gospel.
5. Brokenness is the process of surrender or our heart, mind, and body to Christ.
