The word Advent means COMING OR ARRIVAL

Advent is the season for waiting and preparing our hearts and homes for the coming of Jesus. For 4 Sundays leading up to Christmas, we celebrate the birth of Jesus and we thank God for the hope, peace, joy and love that ONLY Jesus brings to our lives. To celebrate Advent, we light a candle each Sunday. The first candle of advent is the prophecy candle, the candle of hope, and we light that candle full of hope and we remember how Jesus brings hope to our lives as our Savior.

Pastor Chad Sadorf serves as Director of Congregational Care at Faith Presbyterian Church on Merritt Island, FL. Born in Lubbock, Texas. Chad has lived most of his life in Florida. A Graduate of USF in Tampa and Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando. He has in pastoral ministry since 1993, serving churches in Georgia and Florida. He loves astronomy, history, old books and anything made of dark chocolate.
