What does it mean to encourage others? Do you inspire, cheer, support & boost other people’s spirits? Do you want to lift the hearts of people to a happier place? Then you likely are an encourager!
Encouragers lift you up when you are down and help you see things in a better and brighter way.
In the Bible in Acts 15:31 and 32 we read these words: 31 And when they had read it, they rejoiced because of its encouragement. 32 And Judas and Silas, who were themselves prophets, encouraged and strengthened the brothers with many words.
Judas and Silas were encouragers. They told the people the decision of the COUNCIL, what they were to believe about being saved from their sins by Jesus and how they should live their lives.
Judas and Silas also had a travelling companion, a man by the name of Barnabas. His name means "son of encouragement" – Barnabas is known in the Bible as THE BIGGEST ENCOURAGER!
In 1 Thessalonians 5:11 we read - Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.
God wants us to encourage one another. To inspire and cheer and support and boost the hearts of others!
