Too often people of faith, in my observation, have been willing to retreat to quiet, private, spiritual lives and disengage from public discourse. I believe a segmented approach to faith is misguided, both theologically and pragmatically. We will continue to forfeit freedom and liberty if we allow ourselves to be intimidated. Faith that is not lived out is not true faith; it is only theoretical. Jesus did not die on a theoretical cross, and we are not heading to a theoretical Heaven. If your faith is only theoretical, you will not enter Heaven at all. Our faith must actively engage with the world in which we live.
