In the season of Advent, we look forward to Jesus’ Second Coming. Since Jesus is coming again, how should we live our daily lives? Paul calls us to a life of glorifying God and serving others. Ultimately, this all comes through the gospel of Jesus Christ, the one man who truly did live life the right way so that Judgment Day is no longer a day to fear, but a day to look forward to: the day of our salvation!

This is a WELS sermon on the readings from Year A Advent 1: Keep watch for the unexpected coming of Christ! Readings are Isaiah 2:1-5; Romans 13:11-14; and Matthew 24:36-44.
