Sermon Title: "The First Passover"

Observations from Exodus 11:1-10, 12:29-42:

1. God’s plan was always to institute the Passover Himself. (7:17a)
2. The Passover is a solemn reminder of God’s promise to judge all people in accordance with their faith in ablood-sacrificed substitute.
A. Avoiding judgement requires a substitution
B. Avoiding judgement requires an act of true faith
3. As a result of the Passover, all of Egypt arose to thrust the Israelites out of Egypt.
4. God was watching carefully that night and Israel was to observe the Passover meal just as carefully.
