The glorious person of Jesus Christ is set before our eyes by the writer of Hebrews. Jesus is greater than the prophets. He is the preeminent way in which God has communicated to the world. He is God’s final word to the world. He is the fulfillment of God’s prior communication. The entire New Testament revelation is an exposition, an explanation, an application, of the truth of who He is, and what He has done, and what He will be and do in the future.
In this sermon, Pastor Richard Caldwell continues looking at the seven-fold description of the incomparable glory of the Son of God. In the verses set before us in Hebrews, we see that Jesus is the agent by whom the worlds were made. Who is this Jesus? He is the heir of all things. He is the owner and ruler of all things by virtue of what God decreed as the outcome of His work of redemption. But He is also the owner and ruler of all things as God, by virtue of the fact that He was the agent of creation.
