As humans, we’re concerned with the lost and so is God. We were created in His image! Made to be close to Him and should yearn for a relationship with Him. However, many don’t. Instead they remain alone and lost. That’s what makes the theme of the 23rd SRBC Cyber Sermon THE GOD OF THE LOST (33 minutes; Luke 15:1-11 & 20-24) so relevant-the grave peril of our souls being separated and lost from God. We’re reminded of the Gospel truth: God loves the lost. God seeks the lost. God saves the lost. And God rejoices when the lost is found. You probably already know about the three types of losses in the 3 Lost Parables however, Pastor introduces a 4th type of loss endured by the elder brother from the parable of the Prodigal Son of which many have never considered. Pay attention to Pastor’s warning in the beginning. He reveals Satan’s strategic tactic used to separate us from our Creator and persuades us to sin. He also cautions the ‘idea of the isms’ originated in the pits of hell. Overall, these parables equally apply not only to those that lost because they never knew Jesus but also to those who backslide away from Jesus.
