CHRIST WAS CRUCIFIED FOR OUR SINS
Jesus told his disciples to preach the gospel. It was fundamental for the gospel to be preached …1 Corinthians 15:1-3 “Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; 2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you unless ye have believed in vain. 3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures.

In love, God offers His Son as a "propitiation" (sacrifice) for our sins! 1 John 4:9-10

THE GOSPEL TELLS OF JESUS’ RESURRECTION It was the gospel Paul preached. 1 Corinthians 15:4, “And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”. As proclaimed by Peter in the first gospel sermon on the Day of Pentecost saying unto them, “Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” Acts 2:22-32; Acts 2:38

Whether we are prepared for His coming depends upon our obedience to the gospel. 2 Thessalonians 1:8. In "The Great Commission, it is clear that it:

COMMANDS ALL TO OBEY AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL CONCERNING JESUS CHRIST
We must believe the gospel and receive the baptism in the name of Jesus, or we are lost! Mark 16:16

The gospel is God's power for salvation to those who believe. Romans 1:16 The power that Jesus also sent in the form of the Holy Ghost which comes with speaking in tongues that God himself will give you! Acts 1:8; John 3:3-6; Acts 2:38; Acts 19:5

BE BAPTIZED FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS
When we submit to baptism in the name of Jesus, God does His work in saving us! - Colossians 2:11-13

JESUS COMMANDS FOR US TO OBEY THE GOSPEL

Jesus wants everyone to confess faith in Him. Confess that He is LORD AND SAVIOR! ONLY JESUS IS GOD AND ONLY HE CAN FORGIVE SIN, HEAL AND DELIVER FROM SIN THROUGH THE CROSS AND BY WAY OF BAPTISM IN HIS NAME. THIS IS HIS GRACE NO WORKS, NOT OUR WORKS, THIS IS THE GRACE OF SALVATION, NOT OF MAN. JESUS DIED FOR SINS WAS AN ACT OF LOVE AND GRACE!

THEREFORE, Jesus wants repentance preached in His name to all nations. Luke 24:46-47. The apostles, therefore, preached the need to repent. Acts 2:37-38; 3:19; 17:30-31 The need to Be faithful unto death to Jesus. Faithfulness is necessary if we desire to receive the crown of life - Revelations 2:10. There is a real danger in losing your faith Hebrews 3:12-14. Many are falling away, many are calling Jesus Lord only in word but will not come out of sin.

THEREFORE WE HAVE THE PROMISE TO RECEIVE SALVATION.

There are ongoing blessings whenever we have been washed of our sins in Jesus' name. 1 Jonn 1:9. The promises also include salvation from the wrath to come. The dead in Christ shall rise first and we that are alive in remain shall be caught up in the air to be with him forever. 2 Thessalonians 1:7-10; Romans 5:9

Yes, there is a day of wrath and indignation, tribulation, and anguish that is coming to all those that rejected Jesus as Lord and Savior and refused His Grace and Mercy and refused to be washed of their sins through baptism in HIS NAME WHICH IS JESUS! Romans 2:4-11

CONCLUSION

The fact is when you believe what Jesus did for you it contains the message of God's love and grace.

The commands to obey are not difficult. NO WORKS JUST OBEDIENCE!

Jesus wanted you to know about it. You have now heard it, if not before. Jesus made clear what He wanted people to do (believe and be baptized in HIS NAME). He also made clear what would happen if we did not: "He who does not believe will be condemned." Mark 16:15-16

Are you willing to believe the facts of the gospel and obey its commands? If so, then its wonderful promises are there for you to receive!

NOPE, NO WORKS, JUST FAITH! YOUR FAITH IN JESUS WILL CAUSE YOU TO CRY OUT "WHAT MUST I DO TO BE SAVED?" JUST LIKE THEY DID ON THE DAY OF PENTECOST. Have you been washed of all your sins according to Acts 2:38? Have you repented? Have you been filled with the Holy Ghost speaking in tongues?
