Jesus left Heaven and came to the earth to offer salvation to all of mankind, and it is easy for most to recognize the grand purpose of His coming. Indeed, Jesus came to heal the world of its spiritual sickness. However, He also had compassion on those who were physically ill. He took time to show compassion to those who were hurting by giving relief to them, as well. Christians today also need to help those who are spiritually afflicted by sharing with them the good news of Jesus, but do we recognize the responsibility we have to be compassionate to those who are physically afflicted? Do we do all that we can to bring relief to those who are suffering physically, mentally, and emotionally?
