1) Observe the witnesses as the King is led away with His cross
2) Observe the events as the King is lifted up on His cross
3) Observe the power as the King laid down His life on the cross
4) Observe the reality/certainty of the cross as the King is laid to rest in a borrowed tomb
Application: Three Options in response to the King’s cross where He bore sin’s curse and took upon Himself the wrath of God:
1. Ignore the curse = ignore the cross (doesn’t change it)
2. Work to overcome the curse = belittle the cross (impossible to do it)
3. Embrace the curse – and run to the cross! (Forsaking All I Trust Him)
