They were shaken by His proximity by his proximity. He wasn't just a distant king It says "See your king comes to you." He wasn't just a prophet out there or a God up there or a king in a palace he was walking through the crowd on a donkey. They could walk up and touch him and did. They could pat his donkey. He was among them. He was with them. The King had come to be with them.
