This second parable will focus on value.The challenge of this parable is to reflect on the value of the coin. God isn’t celebrating how much we can do or what “value” we contribute but who we are. We may not be that valuable in the eyes of the world. Maybe we aren’t the most capable people and yet God rejoices in us being restored to Him. He actually likes us. He holds a “banquet” and has friends and neighbors over.
