A. The Grace of God brings SALVATION (v 11)
B. The Grace of God teaches us how to LIVE (v 12)
1. To DENY some things
2. To DO certain things
3. To LIVE a certain way
C. The Grace of God teaches us to look for the RETURN of Christ
D. The Grace of God is DEMONSTRATED in the death of Christ (cf. Ro. 5:8)
1. To REDEEM us
2. To SET us apart as a special people
3. To INSPIRE good works
E. The Grace of God is a MESSAGE to be proclaimed through (preaching, speaking, teaching)
III. The Message of SALVATION (3:4-7)
A. Salvation comes from GOD (Acts 4:12) (v 4)
1. From God’s KINDNESS
2. From God’s LOVE (John 3:16)
3. Not by good WORKS, the righteous things we do (Ephesians 2:8-9)
4. But according to His MERCY
B. Salvation is a REBIRTH and a RENEWAL by God’s Spirit (John 3:3, 5, 7) (v 5)
C. Salvation comes through JESUS CHRIST our Savior (v 6)
1. He JUSTIFIES us by His grace (v 7a)
2. He makes us HEIRS of eternal life (v 7b)
