The One? Is there such a thing according to the Bible?

Yes and no because it depends on what you mean.

If you are asking about soul mates, the perfect one, or a twin flame, then no, the Bible does not support this.

But if you are using the phrase “the one” to mean that God actually has a plan for who he wants you to marry one day, then yes, the Bible does support this.

I believe “the one” is a biblical idea because God is sovereign and has a plan for everything in our lives. Thus to be theologically consistent, I also believe God has a plan for who you will marry one day.

Ephesians 1:11 states that God “works all things according to the counsel of his will.” The “all things” here includes relationships.
