Jesus died because of us. And at the point where his enemies thought he lost it all, he won it all. Jesus fully met the righteous demands of a holy law and paid our debt in full. The Old Testament sacrifices could never take away sins; their blood only covered sin. But the Lamb of God shed His blood, and His blood can take away the sins of the world (John 1:29, Hebrews 9:24–28). Remember what Jesus did for us. Never forget what it cost Him. Because it cost Him everything, following Him may also cost you everything. And only those willing to accept that are truly His.
