How we listen to Scripture matters. The question before us is whether we are a doer of the Word of God, or someone who merely listens to it. The question is whether or not we are receiving Scripture, whether or not we are experiencing the lifesaving power of Scripture, or we are self-deceived in our listening.
We have seen what we must be - doers of the Word
We have seen what we must not be - hearers only who deceive ourselves.
