The title is a play on William Tyndale's "Parable of the Wicked Mammon." As I was reading Acts 13 I was struck by the similarity of Paul's encounter with a false prophet and some of the encounters I have had with Jehovah's Witnesses (although not all!) The Watchtower Organisation does "pervert the right ways of the Lord", and "turn away" those who are seeking "the faith." If you are a member of that religion, my advice to you is flee! Run to Christ and find salvation in Him. Just as Paul said to Bar-Jesus "thou shalt be blind" so has God's judgement fallen on the Watchtower "a mist and a darkness." They are spiritually blind. Mussorgsky's piece seemed a fitting accompaniment.
