A sermon delivered by C.H. Spurgeon, Sunday June 19th 1864.
Here is a sermon preached on CH Spurgeon's 30th birthday; and a more profound subject could not have been found. It is difficult to find any of Spurgeon's sermons which equal this one for its vivid descriptions of the sufferings of Christ. Here we are on hallowed ground. Much of the content of this sermon is painful to read, as it exposes the hardness and superficiality of our hearts. However, it exalts our glorious Saviour, who was willing to endure the shame of the Cross for our sakes.
Focused on: Zechariah 12:10
