It's easy to become overwhelmed when we're tired and facing difficult situations. Opening up Nehemiah 4:10-23, Daniel highlights how the people of God became overwhelmed when their focus was on the wrong things - the opinions of others and the jobs still needing completion of the job-site. By focusing on the wrong things the people lost sight of the progress already made, but also God's protection and promise. Daniel encourages us that while we will face many discouragements and difficult seasons in life, when our focus is on the things of God, our strength and perspective to get through the day come from Him.
