What is Worship - How to Worship God - What does In Spirit and Truth mean?

We are given the great gift of the incredible power of praise! Learning to give Him Praise even in the most of difficult times, gives us a chance to rise above the present and set our minds on the real. Worship has nothing to do with the outward expression of the body it may accompany true worship. Anther words you might raise you had while you are singing, if your mind is on God and you are reaching out to him. And you are meaning the things you are singing then that is worship. If you are lifting you hands and thinking these people are looking me thinking how spiritual I am. Thats not worship.

A couple passage in the Bible help us understand real worship

First John 4:21

John 4:21 Jesus said to her, “Woman, believe Me, the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain, nor in Jerusalem, worship the Father 22 You worship what you do not know; we know what we worship, for salvation is of the Jews. 23 But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.

Second Romans 12:1-2

Romans 12:1,2 I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your reasonable service. 2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.

We worship because of God Mercies

2 We preset our bodies as living sacrifice

3. Do not be conformed to this world

4. Be transformed by the renewing of your mind
This is a metal state and emotions will follow

As a Christian, one of the activities we are commanded to do is worship.

BUT what exactly is worship?
How are we to worship God?
What is the proper way to worship?
