When we talk about the Holy Spirit, let’s not reduce Him to a vague force or an emotional experience. He is a person—God Himself—living within us, guiding, convicting, and empowering us to live in obedience. Jesus said it was better for Him to leave so that the Spirit could come (John 16:7). Do we actually believe that? Do we live like we have the very presence of God inside us?
Too often, we treat the Holy Spirit like an accessory to our faith rather than the one who gives it power. The early church was completely dependent on Him—they couldn’t imagine trying to follow Jesus without His leading. Have we lost that desperation? Have we settled for a version of Christianity that functions just fine without Him? It’s time to acknowledge Him, listen to Him, and surrender to His presence.
