What a day of victory it was, when death could not hold the Son of Man (Acts 2:24). Death is the wages of sin (Rom 6:23), but Jesus was the sinless Lamb of God (1 Peter 1:19), therefore it had no power over him. It has been said that the church is built on an empty tomb. Indeed, we worship a living Savior who did not remain in the grave but rose in glory to indwell by his Spirit every true believer (Rom 8:9). Friends, the gospel message is not just that Jesus died for you and me. The second and most important part of the good news is that he rose for us too! For without the resurrection, his death could not save us and we would still be in our sins (1 Cor. 15:17). Jesus death and resurrection changed the world forever...has it changed you?
