Today’s message centres on an intriguing detail in the story of our Lord’s crucifixion. Mark 15:38 tells us that when Jesus died, "the curtain of the temple was torn in two, from top to bottom.” This seemingly random detail actually tells us something quite profound and wonderful about how the death of Christ for our sins provides for free and open access to God for all who put their trust in Jesus. And this has profound implications for those times when we celebrate the Lord’s Supper.
Our Sunday worship service includes the sacrament of Holy Communion, so please get some bread and wine or juice if you would like to participate.
