Some believers have pride because they are regarded by others as "strong Christians" or "good Christians," and, for fear of being discovered that they have a struggle inside themselves with their sins- they do not want them revealed "publicly".

Other Christians feel so ashamed that they individually think he (or she) is the only one who is battling with the sin nature. In his writing in Romans chapter 7, the Apostle Paul is blunt about his personal struggle! We are the same as Paul- we ALL struggle with sin!
