PRAISE THE LORD!
We thank and glorify God Almighty, who is leading our lowly and humble church everyday, and for this month of October God has promised us according to Psalms 23:5;
"You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies, you anoint my head with oil and my cup overflows... "
God says that He would honor us before our enemies itself and he will anoint us with the power of the Holy Spirit and that we would overflow.. Therefore, This month is called "The month of Fullness ".
Today's meditation is taken from the Acts of the Apostles 2:4 which says "They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to talk in other languages, as the spirit enabled them to speak ".
In this context "They" refers to all the believers including the apostles, disciples acc- to acts 2:1..
There were many signs which indicated the presence of the Holy Spirit acc to acts 2:2-3..
Samuel anoints David and the Holy Spirit takes control of David fully. Acc- to 1sam 16:13.
1)The Holy Spirit filled the believers on the day of Pentecost that is the fifty day after Christ's resurrection. Acc to acts 2:1;
2)Soon after Jesus resurrected but not before the day of Pentecost (as mentioned above) Jesus said "Receive my Holy Spirit ", to the same disciples were present in acts 2:1;
3)When Jesus was alive, the conversation between Jesus and Peter proves us that the Holy Spirit was present in them acc to math16:17.. Now the same disciples are present in all three scenarios and the Holy Spirit is also present among them. Now, are there many Holy Spirit's??
No, my dear brothers and sisters, understand the deep meaning of this sermon .Holy spirit is always One, but can fill many people who call to him ,at a time ,at different places.... Now let's introduce today's topic "Thirsting Holy Spirit Throughout" in other words "FULL AND FULL"
full of Holy Spirit, full of our lives... First of all, Holy Spirit is God's free gift to all of us acc to acts 5:32; we as humans don't value free things that we get, but we must never do that to Holy Spirit of God, for it is the most precious gift that we get of receiving the Holy Spirit in our life. As an example that we all need the Holy Spirit fully without intervals, let us see 1)Simon Peter, Jesus' disciple. Acc to math 16:13-20; Peter sternly speaks about Jesus, as Peter did not speak from his flesh, but he spoke because God the Father, through the Holy Spirit enables Peter to speak so... Hence Jesus replied that Peter would be a rock and that Jesus would build a church on that rock. In the same chapter the next content math 16:21-23; Peter forbids Jesus' words beside right now Holy Spirit was not in Peter but Satan was in Peter and so he spoke from flesh against Jesus words, Jesus replied "Get away from me Satan " ...
The same Jesus told the Same Peter few minutes ago as we meditated, that Peter would be a rock and a church will be built on him, but now since the Holy Spirit, did not work in Peter, Satan started working in him and Peter spoke words from his flesh.. Next, acc to acts 4:8 The bible says "Peter full of Holy Spirit", firstly Peter was in spirit (math16:17); then Satan intervenes Peter (math 16:23); but now Peter full of Holy Spirit, He received the Holy Spirit fully. Only through the Holy Spirit we can be lead into fullness...
Before also the Holy Spirit was present in Peter but not fully, Peter or any other disciple had still not learnt the requirement of Holy Spirit throughout, But now acc to acts 4:8 fullness of Holy Spirit is being experienced by Peter, after fullness there is no content which says the Holy Spirit left Peter, and that's Fullness... Once and for all is God's fullness, 2)Jesus was being lead by the Holy Spirit acc to Luke 4:1;
Once Jesus was baptized, the Holy Spirit came upon Him acc to Luke 3:21;
Jesus would baptize us with Holy Spirit and fire acc to Luke 3:16;
After receiving the Holy Spirit fully Peter started preaching about Jesus throughout his life acc to acts 10:38; and acts 3:14; Peter not only received the Holy Spirit but when he preached the Holy Spirit filled the gentiles also acc to acts 10:44.. True Fullness is receiving the Holy Spirit and realizing the daily need for Holy Spirit in our spiritual life and the outflow of Holy Spirit's anointing will bring many to the feet of our Lord as we live a testimonial living.
