The writer of Hebrews in chapter 11 is teaching a lesson about faith. The Spirit of God is taking us all the way to the foundations of faith’s demonstration. He is taking us all the way back to the earliest times and walking us forward so that we would have a sense of what it means to belong to the people who have faith in the living God, which means the people who have been reconciled to God by the finished work of Jesus Christ.
