Our love for one another and unity in resolving differences go hand in hand with our effectiveness as a church to advance the Gospel. When there is infighting, bickering, a critical spirit, we are not a clear sign, but a blurred sign to a lost and perishing world. A lot is at stake in regards to unity and maintaining it. This should cause us to lay aside our differences in the non-essential areas, so that we might be side by side together for the Gospel.
