The world constantly pushes the message: elevate self, think highly of your worth, and confidence will follow. But the way of Jesus flips that entirely. True confidence doesn’t come from puffing up the self—it comes from laying it down. There’s peace in realizing it’s not about personal greatness but about the greatness of the One who leads.

When the focus shifts off of self and onto the Shepherd, there’s rest. Suddenly, it’s not about striving or proving anything—it’s about trusting. The green pastures, the still waters, the paths of righteousness—none of that is self-made. It’s all grace. And in that grace, there’s confidence. There’s peace. There’s this quiet assurance: the Shepherd knows the way, and everything is going to be okay.
