Bro. James resumes his series through Luke by looking at Luke 12:1-3. Throughout chapter 11 Jesus had been confronting the hypocrisy in the Pharisees and other religious leaders. They were outwardly complying to God's laws while ignoring their inner health. Jesus warned his disciples to beware of the same leaven. Even Jesus' followers tend to fall into hypocrisy. Jesus uses the rest of chapter 12 to give us examples of how we do this. We claim to trust God then we doubt Him when the storms of life come. We trust him for salvation, but we are overcome with fear, worry, and anxiety when the heat of life hits.
