Sermon Title: Trusting the Clock and the Compass
Text: Proverbs 3:1-8
There are two measuring devices whose readings sometimes seem unbelievable – the clock and the compass. For example, time can seem to pass more slowly or quickly depending on what we are doing. An hour in the dentist’s chair goes much slower than an hour at a pleasant dinner with friends. Likewise, when traveling through unfamiliar places, the direction we feel like we are going. can often be quite different from what our GPS tells us. Similarly, life hands us a number of situations that can make us feel out of control, but God has designed us to learn to trust His leading. Pastor Kevin Brown is preaching this passage from Proverbs which directs us toward growing in our personal trust in God’s leading.
