Sermon Discussion Questions:
1. Have you heard any techniques, tips, or tricks taught as ways to affect the outcome of healing? In what ways could this kind of formulaic thinking be dangerous?

2. In this passage, Peter seems to speak to the situation of sickness maybe more than to God. It seems that he is commanding rather than asking. How do you make sense of exercising the authority that we have in Jesus alongside seeking and accepting God’s will?

3. The Greek word sozo can be translated as either “saves” or “heals”. Have you ever thought of God’s salvation as healing? How might the phrases “Jesus saves” and “Jesus heals” be heard differently in our society today?

4. We have heard that the ministry of healing is characterized by fullness, freedom, and faithfulness. Which of these aspects do you sense God inviting you to see in a new light today?
