God will only give us His assignments when He knows we are prepared, because He loves us too much to send us out unprepared. The responses of God’s people are so significant, and your intentional commitment to practicing the spiritual fundamentals of your faith is the necessary preparation for your God-assignment. Begin to say to the Lord, “I want to know You.” Church, we want to become people of faith in very real, meaningful, and practical ways by focusing on the fundamentals of preparation—consistently praying, reading God’s Word, and being in community with other Christ-followers. It’s essential if we’re to fulfill God’s purposes for us.
