One topic that has a lot of play these days and is escalating the victim mentality is gender confusion and the transgender issue. But it’s not that confusing—even veterinarians who take care of the Clydesdales are not confused whether a new foal is a filly or a colt. So, maybe we could find the courage to have that kind of clarity, too. We want to have compassion for those who struggle with confusion, but we don’t want to institutionalize it. We certainly can’t abandon our children to be mutilated and have their lives altered—that’s Mengele-like. We’re going to have to have the courage to protect our children and not abandon them in order to appear culturally chic. We cannot surrender the children.
