STUDY NOTES :

REVELATION CHAPTER 14:  The Lamb of God stands on Mount Sion and the 144,000 sing a new song!  The time to harvest the earth is come; the winepress of the wrath of God is ready.  This chapter describes the activities in Heaven prior to the last 7 vials of wrath to be poured out upon earth!
Verses 1-5… The song of the 144,000.  
Revelation 7:2-8 …. Psalms 40:1-3 …... John 10:27-29. 
NOTE: This is the greatest numbered choir of all time!  These are Jewish virgin males, the same ones who were sealed in their foreheads in Revelation Chapter 7.  Virgin is the Greek word “Parthenos” and is rendered as clean from all uncleanliness and whoredom attendant upon idolatry, and has kept his chastity. And there is no guile found in their mouth!  … Ephesians 4:29-32
 
Verses 6-12… This describes messages from three special angels which God has chosen.
The first message: The first angel is preaching the gospel to sinners.  Up to this point, God has used only men to reach other men. Acts 1:8 
The second message: The second angel announces the imminent destruction of the political and economic Babylon…Revelation 18
 The third message: The third angel preaches the last HELLFIRE AND BRIMSTONE MESSAGE that will ever be preached to the unsaved.  It becomes obvious that no one responds to the message.  How tragic that Christ once drank this same cup for the very unrepentant sinners, who are now forced to drink it themselves!
                                                                                    
Verse 13… The message from the Holy Spirit is that it is better for the believers to die! 
John Philips writes “I’ll make you suffer, screams the beast”.  “You’ll only make us saints”, reply the overcomers!
“I will persecute you to the grave” roars the beast!  “You will promote us to Glory” reply the overcomers!  “I will blast you” snarls the beast!  “You will bless us” reply the overcomers! 
Revelation 3:20,21
 
Verses 14-20… This is the announcement of Armageddon.

·       Summary of Revelation Chapter 14:  This chapter gives us a picture of the multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision.  What will it take for some people to make the decision for the Lord?  God has gone to every length to give mankind an opportunity to repent.  He even sends an angel to preach Hellfire and Brimstone!  Jude 22-23  But alas, the hardness of men’s hearts and the pride will cast mankind down to the pit!
